Happy Birthday Mickey with D23!

What do you get when you combine family, friends, food, and a love of all things Disney? A super fun D23 Birthday party for Mickey Mouse! If you ever wondered if social media friends could become real friends, look no further than the pictures below. My friend Whitney ordered all of the supplies from the ultimate Disney fan club, D23, and with some added food, drinks, and a bunch of kids, we were ready to party! We were joined by my friends Jen, Ana, and Lisaand their wonderful children. When Whitney ordered the supplies from D23 to throw Mickey Mouse the ultimate 90th birthday party, we really weren’t sure what to expect, but we were all onboard. But when the supplies came, Whitney came to my house armed with tons of beautiful Mickey Mouse decorations! Balloons, keychains, trivia cards, photo props, and more were all included from D23! The kids were in heaven and all of us instamoms were really excited for the amazing photo ops.

There were so many delicious Mickey themed foods, and we even had a cake that wished Mickey Mouse a Happy 90th! My youngest even got into the party theme by creating her own Disney themed decorations. I should really invest in scotch tape, because my children use so much tape for all of their “creations,” and these Disney creations were no different! There must have been about 50 pieces of tape on this string of Disney garland; not to mention the use of stickers. But how precious?!

The kids ran around outside, the moms discussed all things Disney, and the husbands enjoyed catching up and watching some football. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon; by connecting with old and new friends, and celebrating Mickey Mouse’s 90th Birthday with D23!

About ten years ago, I had ordered a party pack to help celebrate my now 13 year old’s 3rd birthday, and I even brought out some of those old hats to help celebrate. When we had our last Mickey themed party, about a decade ago, Disney helped us celebrate and bring people together. Here we are, ten years later, coming together again, over a shared love. Thank you Whitney for organizing this amazing party and making it happen! And thank you D23 and Walt Disney World for making magic for us, even in our living room.
