Disney Springs: Ultimate Date Night
September 3, 2018
As you all know, we are parents of five precious kiddos. As you can imagine, we don’t go on getaways too often without them. So when the team at Disney invited us to Date Night at Disney Springs, we were thrilled with such an amazing opportunity!
When we were invited to Disney Springs Date Night, we were also asked to share our preferences for dining and entertainment, and then the amazing Disney team crafted a personalized itinerary built just for the two of us. And boy, does Disney know how to plan a date night! We were hosted for the night at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, which was absolutely beautiful and conveniently located close to Disney Springs. We were also treated to entertainment, dining, cupcakes, drinks, and more!
Even though I’ve lived in Central Florida for almost my entire life, I am always discovering new things at Walt Disney World. Disney Springs has been growing and changing so much in recent years; there is a never ending supply of amazing options for dining and entertainment! We sampled some of the best, and discovered so many wonderful experiences, I could write about it for months to come! And I just might! But to give you an idea of how you could plan your own date night at Disney Springs, I’m going to share our itinerary so you can create your own night away with your love!

There were several other couples invited for Date Night at Disney Springs and they got to try out other fun options such as The Void, Amphicar, Wine Tasting, and more! There are so many more dining options as well, such as STK Orlando, Maria & Enzo’s, and The Boathouse. Did you know there are 60 dining options at Disney Springs? Talk about options!
We were also treated to shopping at Disney Springs. There are over 100 shopping options, including Sunglass Hut, Anthropologie, Under Armour, DisneyStyle, The Ganachery, Sephora, Once Upon a Toy, and so many more! I felt like a princess running around from store to store, way past my usual bedtime, exploring all of the options, all in one place.
For our first stop of the night, we headed directly to Sprinkles for our complimentary cupcakes! We received two delicious Oreo cupcakes, and promptly enjoyed them. I was so into eating them, I barely got a picture! As always, Sprinkles does not disappoint and dessert before dinner is always a good idea on date night.
Next, we headed to Splitsville Luxury Lanes for me to beat Chad at some bowling! Well…at least I beat him one game! This place is so fun and really takes bowling to another level. They have a full menu available, and have awesome music playing. We had a great time, and worked up an appetite for dinner!
We stopped by some stores and did some shopping on our way to dinner. We had such a great time picking out some fantastic new things, all using a Disney gift card. What a fun way to shop! Thanks so much Disney Springs for my new sunnies!
Next, we walked over to The Edison for dinner and were surprisingly greeted by a gorgeous woman on stilts! This was just the beginning of an immersive, 1920’s experience, featuring delicious food, only equaled by the amazing entertaining. While we dined, we enjoyed a jazz band, professional dancers, jugglers, and more. The food was incredible too, and I enjoyed tomato soup and grilled cheese bigger than my head! My husband’s favorite food is salmon, and he told our waitress that the salmon he was served was the best salmon he had ever eaten. For a salmon connoisseur like him, that’s really saying something. You cannot go wrong with a date night at The Edison.
After 10 pm, The Edison becomes a nightclub that is 21 and over. When we left late at night, they were checking ID’s at the door. I felt so grown-up and fancy! This Mama of 5 doesn’t often have the opportunity to go to a fancy nightclub, so I was immensely thankful to enjoy the music, dancing, and entertainment in an adults only atmosphere. As a mother, my life usually revolves around my children. But it’s also really important to have nights that are only focused on each other. We walked out of The Edison, into the beautiful Florida night, holding hands and feeling overwhelmingly grateful.
Whether you have never been to Disney Springs, or you’re a seasoned regular, I guarantee you haven’t seen all it has to offer! For example, did you know that you can meet the Coca-Cola Polar Bear at the Coca-Cola Store? You can also flash freeze your own bottle of Coke, and make the bottle an instant slushy! On the rooftop bar, there are gorgeous views of Disney Springs, with snacks, adult beverages, Cokes from around the world, and more available to enjoy. When you visit Disney Springs, you really can’t miss the gigantic Coca-Cola Store, but when you go inside, you never would have imagined the options available.
Before heading back to our hotel, we did some more shopping, enjoyed live entertainment around every corner, danced at The Landing with a live DJ, and just enjoyed each other’s company. At about 1 am, we strolled back to Saratoga Springs with a short walk over a beautiful bridge from Disney Springs. When we got back to our room, generous and gorgeous gift baskets were waiting for us! How could this night possibly get any better?! Treats from The Ganachery, Art Smith’s Homecomin’, Splitsville, and more awaited us.
In the morning, we woke up late, enjoyed the beautiful views from our room, and headed back to Disney Springs for a farewell brunch at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. It was so fun to meet other influencers, and share our experiences from a night out at Disney Springs! The food just kept coming, and each dish was more delicious than the last! It was so wonderful to make new friends in the blogging, YouTube, and Instagram world, and to hang out with the talented Disney crew that had made our night possible. It all felt like a dream.
When we walked back to our room, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude and happiness. We have amazing friends that took wonderful care of our children overnight while we were away, and we enjoyed a night fit for royalty at Disney Springs. Thank you Disney for giving this couple of 20 years a chance to reconnect and discover superb dining and entertainment options in our hometown. It was an experience we will never forget.
Now you all… get with your love and plan a Disney Springs date night of your own! What will you do? The Edison? Splitsville? Amphicar? The Void? Let me know on Instagram how you are going to reconnect with your loved one at Walt Disney World. Disney for date night is always a good idea.
